We are Nick and Chania and between us we have thirty-eight years experience in owning and running self-catering businesses. We now own and run this beautiful complex of five gîtes in the Charente Maritime. We know holidays are very important so it is our aim to make sure that everything is perfect so that you have a relaxing and memorable visit to France.




The property was formerly a Cognac distillery, which has now been converted into this delightful complex, including a heated swimming pool with sun terraces, summer kitchen and barbeque, large gardens, paddocks and an orchard of walnut trees set amongst the attractive countryside.

The gîtes have been carefully restored and upgraded into comfortable homes for your holiday.



Located in Charente Maritime, the second sunniest region of France, the hamlet of La Foye is surrounded by extensive fields of sunflowers and vineyards, with the magnificent Forest of Aulnay just moments away offering wonderful walks and bicycle rides.

With easy access from all directions, especially the A10 autoroute, the region is renowned for its Cognac, oysters, cheeses and friendly people. La Foye is situated in a gloriously tranquil, unspoiled setting, absolutely perfect for French country living and ideal for a relaxed, refreshing holiday.

Spend a few moments to view our gîtes, all of which are furnished to a high standard. They are all well decorated and have fully equipped kitchens. including an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, kettle and toaster. A full set of china, cutlery and glassware along with kitchen implements are all provided. One of the most repeated comments is "You even include a garlic press!" But of course!

The bedrooms are comfortable and well furnished, bed linen and bath towels are provided but please bring your own pool towels.


Each gîte has a gas barbeque, an outside table, chairs and a parasol for shade. There is also a lovely summer kitchen area with more tables, chairs and a traditional barbeque made from the old bread oven.

Every gîte has UK satellite TV but we doubt if you will waste much time watching it, as there is so much to do. A library of DVDs, videos and books is also available for guests.






The pool area is perfectly situated for all day sunshine and far enough from the gîtes so as not to disturb the other residents. There are plenty of loungers and chairs to spread out over the extensive patio. For your safety, the heated pool conforms to French safety regulations and has an alarm.






The Hot Tub is available when the pool is not in commission.

There is an area for a quiet game of boules or a game of table tennis.








We have a salle de jour, which can be used by all visitors and has the DVD, video and book library. It would make an ideal venue for a party or conference for those who would like to book the whole complex.
